THE TARGET
The maritime field has been identified as the area of greatest risk regarding terrorism in
multiple and important international contexts. The need for prevention and protection of
this important economic field brought, in December 2002, the diplomatic Conference on
maritime security to adopt the ISPS Code(International Ship and Port Security).
Such reference was acknowledged in March 2004 by the European Regulation 725 which,
surely, contributed obligatory disposition value to the division.
